This robot car can go forward, backward, and turn using only one motor! Well, sort of. You can either go straight forward, or back up while turning. It uses a mechanical trick to do this using only one motor. Build it and see if you can figure out how it works.
The autonomous program makes it roam around the room trying to avoid obstacles with the distance sensor. The remote control program allows you to control the driving actions with two simple buttons.
The remote control for this reminds me of very cheap toy RC cars that were for sale years ago. They only used one motor (to make them cheap to make) and the controller had only two buttons on it, controlling motions similar to this model.
